In a complex production process, yeast cell walls are separated from the cell interior (yeast extract). In the production of soluble brewers’ yeast extracts, for example, yeast cell walls are obtained as a further secondary stream. In a complex process, the yeast cell walls and the cell interior (yeast extract) are separated and the mannan oligosaccharides (MOS) and beta-glucans from the yeast cell wall are concentrated.
